Future of work” — If you’re like me, this is a buzzword that you’ve heard plenty of times. Google Trends shows this buzzword to be near an all-time high in popularity.

Frankly, most of the hype around the future of work is just a lot of noise from people trying to sell you something.

Though to be fair, one thing I do hear a lot of and agree with is that anything that can be automated or outsourced will be. And most likely sooner than we expect or think.

Just look at what Amazon is doing with Alexa and the slew of new products they announced this week. They are thinking future. Automation, on-demand, robots, and more.

So what can you do to make your business future-proof? This means making it robot-proof.

The answer.

Adding the human touch.

That’s where “art” comes in, adding that special touch. That’s where turning what you do into an art form becomes truly valuable.

For us, it’s making our customers at Austin Linen Service feel and know that they aren’t just a number.

It’s more than proving we are the best at linen service.

It’s more than making it easy to do business with us.

It’s making sure we are not missing that human touch.

It’s the ability to understand and share the feelings or thoughts of our customers. It’s sometimes just slowing down and listening.

Maybe it’s sitting down and having an ice cream together.
